Built from behind bars

Casa Segura de Dios, Inc. was born out of a moment of deep conviction and divine transformation. Five years ago, while serving time in federal prison after being sentenced for drug trafficking, I came face to face with the terrible damage I had caused—not just to myself, but to humanity. I saw new inmates arriving broken, thin, and toothless, and it grieved me deeply. In that dark place, the Holy Spirit convicted me, and I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ. From that moment on, I began sharing a message of hope with other prisoners.

While praying in my cell, God gave me the name “Casa Segura de Dios” and revealed the mission: to build a ministry that would offer restoration, healing, and spiritual refuge to those in need. Today, my wife and I walk together in pastoral ministry, leading this vision with faith and humility. Casa Segura de Dios is more than a nonprofit—it is a living testimony of redemption through Jesus. We are building a residential recovery program, offering chaplaincy and pastoral care, and serving our community with the same mercy and truth that transformed our lives. This ministry exists because God spoke, and we obeyed. What you see today is the fruit of that calling.
